In need of energy, nutriments, and antioxidants?

Moringa Oleifera, sometimes called the “miracle tree” is one of my absolute favorite plants when it comes to health benefits. Its leave are exceptional sources of vitamins A, C and E, minerals, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron and many of the essential amino acids that the human body does not produce itself. It is also full of antioxidants, (phenols and flavonoids) that help protect body cells from the damaging effects of “free radicals” produced by the body as we metabolize food, break down medicines and other toxins (oxidative stress).

Premature aging and many serious diseases of civilization or lifestyle diseases start from the overproduction of free radicals damaging cells within our body. Moringa can help provide added protection for the body and has an anti-aging effect and I could go on. It is safe, natural, and generally affordable.

The dried leaf powder can be used as a food supplement or simply sprinkled on food. I personally prefer taking it mixed with a bit of warm water in the morning or mix it in a smoothy. I do not find it delicious, but hey, can’t have it all. Start with a teaspoon and build up to 4-8 grams– one tablespoon/day. I get mine directly from a producer in Niger, but you can easily find Moringa in health stores or you can post order.
